Written and recorded during the lockdowns in Australia, this debut single of original work appeals to the sense of nature, the immutable human connection to wider spaces and the natural world, even at times when we feel most separated.

The title, 'Sherbrooke', is derived from the Sherbrooke forest in the Dandenong Ranges. This dense, ferny rainforest-like scenery became a regular surrounding during the writing process of this work and inspired many of the sounds and gestures of the music. This work aims to draw listeners to those surroundings and to embody the tranquil yet energising sensations of being completely immersed in an environment that grounds us, and reminds us of the entities in this world much bigger than ourselves.
